Letter from the Vice President of Membership Recruitment

Hello Ladies!

Welcome to Arizona State University and congratulations on deciding to go through recruitment! On behalf of all Alpha Phis, we can not wait to meet the women we will welcome into the Greek community and our Alpha Phi sisterhood! Formal Recruitment holds a special place in the hearts of all Alpha Phis because it gives us the opportunity to show you exactly why our organization means so much to us. We are all here to help you navigate through this new chapter of your life and help you find women who lift you up through the next four years and rest of your life.

We truly love sharing our chapter’s values and our sisters’ unique characteristics with you all during recruitment. As Alpha Phis, our sisterhood, leadership on campus and in the community, commitment to scholarship, loyalty to one another, and dedication to service unite and empower us as collegiate women. Going through recruitment, I saw the deep alignment to these values in every Alpha Phi sister I talked to. Being a member of this sorority has instilled the importance of living out your values in me, and gave me an outlet and community to make it possible. When I packed my bags and headed to ASU alone from my small town in Tennessee, I knew I needed a group of women to call my friends, mentors, and role models more than anything. In Alpha Phi, I was lucky to find the women that inspire me every day with their drive, kindness, and deep rooted love for each other. I feel so lucky to be able to say, “I am an Alpha Phi” and to share my college experience with over 200 women who are leaders, scholars, philanthropists, and loyal sisters. Without them, my life here at Arizona State wouldn’t be the same, and I owe many of my personal and academic achievements to this organization, its ideals which lift me up beyond myself, and its members. The recruitment process is one that will lead you to finding a group of women who keep you here, who you can make a difference with, and who encourage you, provide you with unconditional Loveland support you in lifelong achievement. Where ever you may go, I hope you find a place that nurtures your mind and soul like Alpha Phi has for us.

We all can’t wait to see you in August and see where Greek Life takes you! You’ll be great in all that you do.

Megan Tracy,

Vice President of Membership Recruitment

Gotta, Gotta Go APHI!

Be yourself! Being genuine is something everyone wants to see! You’re uniquely beautiful inside and out, girl! There is only one you out there, so show it off. Keep an open mind! Remember that you are choosing a house to call your home, not anyone else’s! When going to each house and talking to the members, let everything outside of that room go — where you feel most comfortable is where you belong! Next year, you will be in the shoes of the woman you are talking to which is amazing to think about. Take advantage of the Rho Gammas! These women are hand-selected and are a great representation of Arizona State University’s Greek community and student body. Trust in them and the recruitment process! Our Panhellenic community is amazing. Days can be early and nights can be late, so bring comfy shoes and goodies to keep you going! Staying refreshed and healthy during recruitment is key. Take care of yourself, girl! Grab some emergen-c, a water bottle, and some treats to ensure you feel good. Don’t be afraid to let us know you may nervous, not feeling well, or need advice, as Alpha Phi’s, we’re always here for you!
